“After being told upon inspection from Delta Mechanical (Home Depot’s water heater contractor) that the standard height water heater we had already purchased from Home Depot would not fit & it was too tall, We ordered the 50 gallon short as advised through Delta Mechanical/Home Depot. A week had passed my water heater finally gave & started gushing water, we could no longer wait the 3 weeks for the special order/back order. Called Home Depot/Delta Mechanical to cancel the special order & see what other options we had only to find out that they basically dropped the ball. The order could not be found & was never even placed. I decided to call a direct distributor (George T Sanders) myself & check stock for the short water heater I needed. They had a Bradford White 50 gallon short in stock. They also highly recommended C4 Plumbing stating that they did a great job & they were honest & reasonable with pricing. Called Mark Canty of C4 Plumbing & he was at my house in about an hr. He took a look at the water heater & said we didn’t even need a short (as Delta Mechanical stated) & that a standard height would work just fine. He explained to me that I could still purchase the Rheem water heater from Home Depot that I originally purchased/wanted or that I could get the Bradford White water heater from George T Sanders. Both good water heaters but only difference is Bradford is made in the USA & the parts were easier to get (same day) if future repairs were needed without having to order them & wait for parts & possibly be without hot water (like with the Rheem) so we went w the Bradford White (which was also given to us at his cost & I know this because Mark called George T Sanders on speaker so I know he didn’t mark up the water heater at all!) Mark gave us an estimate for a total of $1269 (which included new piping, expansion tank, under water pan & permit) which was $200 less than Home Depot & $1200 less than both Plumbline & Doctor Fix-it Plumbing. Mark came a little later that same day (& earlier than I expected) with an associate to install the water heater. He & his associate were so professional, polite, informative & left my house clean & the install looks great! Passed the Centennial City Permit just fine!
